Introduction of Gokhru Bara

Gokhru, also called Gokshura, ChotaGokhru, Puncture vine, Devil’s weed, or Gokhru, is an herb that is used to deal with kidney and urinary problems. One species of gokhru is called BadaGokhru (Big Gokhru), and the other herb is called ChotaGokhru (Small Gokhru). It was used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine to treat asthma, cough, edema, and kidney problems and to help reduce the pain while passing urine, and it is available in the form of churna, or powdered form, tablet, capsules, and Kwath.

Gokhru is an effective remedy to deal with kidney and urinary problems, and also as a sexual libido enhancer. It is also considered an aphrodisiac and libido-enhancer. This plant is useful in strangury, renal and vesicular calculi, aphthae, puerperal diseases, spermatorrhoea, amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, cough, asthma, pain, skin diseases, heart troubles, piles, leprosy, inflammation, splenomegaly, dyspepsia, appetizer, flatulence, ulcers, fever, and general debility. This herb possesses hypotensive, aphrodisiac, anti-microbial, anti-cancer, and diuretic properties.
