Introduction of Ikshu (Ganna)

Ikshu (Ganna) known as sugarcane is a perennial plant that grows in clumps consisting of several strong unbranched stems. The stems can vary in colors like green, pinkish, or purple. And it can reach 5 m in height. It is a wholesome natural diuretic that is cold. Sugarcane juice readily increases Kapha dosha and pacifies pitta and Vata dosha.
