Introduction of Piyaj (Palandu)
Piyag, also known as the bulb onion or common onion, is a vegetable that is the most widely cultivated species of the genus AlliuOnion. Its long, hollow leaves with thickened bases make up most of the bulb. As per Ayurveda, palandu, or onion, is pungent in taste and strengthening in nature, removing Kapha and Pitta, and is heavy for digestion.
