Introduction of Mukkutti
Mukkutti is a plant species belonging to the Biophytum genus in the Oxalidaceae family. In tropical areas, the plant is also a frequent weed. The flowers are often yellow, white, or orange, with a crimson or orange streak running through the center of each of the five petals. During the rainy season, Mukkutti can be seen in most parts of Kerala. It's been used in traditional medicine for a variety of ailments. It is used to treat stomach aches, asthma, sleeplessness, convulsions, cramps, chest complaints, inflammations, and is also an effective treatment for chronic skin problems.
