Introduction of Parval (Patol)
Parwal, also known as Pointed-gourd, is a climbing herb with edible fruits and leaves. It is found throughout India, other Asian countries, and Australia. It is mainly cultivated for its edible fruits. They are 5-15 cm long and have tapered ends. They have white and green stripes along the length and white-brownish seeds inside.
