As per Ayurveda, below mentioned therapies are effective in treating Splenomegaly.

  • Snehana

    Snehana, or Oleation Therapy, is one of the most important therapies to fix Splenomegaly. It prepares the body to receive specialized Panchakarma treatment. It involves the application of medicated oils, ghee, and herbs to the body internally and externally for three to seven days. Snehana treatment helps relax the nervous system, relieves muscle stiffness, pain, and nodules soften and loosen deep-seated tissue toxins, and restores balance to the mind and body process.

  • Swedana

    Swedana, or Sudation Therapy, involves inducing sweat in the patient by heat application in the form of steam or other heated medicaments. As the body starts sweating in the Swedana treatment, stiffness, heaviness, and coldness are eliminated. It offers relief in diseases related to bones, muscles, and nerves.

  • Virechana

    Virechana therapy is a method of removing the Doshas from the body through the Anal canal. It is a medicinal purgation therapy that cleanses the Pitta dosha and purifies the blood by removing toxins from the body. The therapy focuses on the toxins built up in the liver and gallbladder. Virechana therapy also cleans the gastrointestinal tract.

  • Niruha

    Niruha means 'to eliminate'. Niruha Vasti is a cleansing enema. Administration of medicated decoction of the empty stomach in the form of enema is called Niruha Basti. It is compulsorily administered after localized massage and steam. .

  • Anuvasana

    Enema Therapy using medicinal oils is known as Anuvasana. Anuvasana is the Sanskrit word for "remain." The supplied medicine is made to linger in the intestine for a longer period in this procedure. The dose of oil can be adjusted depending on the patient's condition and the ailment.
