Chickenpox is caused by a virus called varicella-zoster. Chickenpox spreads from an infected person to your children by direct contact or by droplets expelled while coughing, sneezing, and breathing into the air. In Ayurvedic terms, Laghu Masurika, or chickenpox is caused by the vitiation of all the 3 doshas – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
