Dr. Basil Sukumaran has graduated from VPSV Ayurveda College and successfully completed his Masters degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore. Having specialized in Panchakarma, Basil associated with National Ayurveda Research Institute for Panchakarma, Cheruthuruthy for about two years. He also served as a physician with National Ayush Mission for another two years.

Inheriting from a Physician's family, based at perinthalmanna, Basil is currently serving as Advisor and Director of Vimala Pharmacy, which has a medium-sized manufacturing unit of all Ayurvedic medicines.

His hobbies include the development and maintenance of herbal gardens with assistance from his spouse who is also an Ayurvedic Doctor.
