Introduction
Endometriosis is a common inflammatory disease where the tissue similar to the lining in the uterus grows in other areas of the body like fallopian tubes, ovaries, the outer surface of the uterus, other pelvic organs, and connective tissues. Endometriosis affects 5-10% of women during their reproductive years.
According to Ayurveda, Endometriosis is developing due to the imbalance of Vata dosha. Apana is the main reason for the removal of unwanted waste or toxins from the body. When any disturbances happen for the smooth functioning of removal of toxins, such conditions lead to problems. When ama combines with Vata or Kapha dosha, it blocks Apana Vata's flow. As a result, one needs to suffer from Endometriosis symptoms.
