Navarathri

Navarathri is a Durga Pooja festival widely celebrated by Hindus across India. Navarathri is a festival of nine nights. During Navarathri days, people worship the Goddess Shakti / Devi in Nine forms. Usually, during these days, family and friends join together and celebrate the festival. Navarathri celebrates in Indi in two seasons; spring and fall. People in India celebrate Navarathri by excluding certain food items from their diet to purify body, mind, and soul. Navarathri diet is one of the healthiest diets, especially a vegetarian diet. Food Items To Avoid During Navarathri

Ayurveda recommends not to have certain food items during the Navarathri diet as they may cause an accumulation of toxins in the body. Such kinds of food items are:

  • Fish.

  • Asafoetida.
  • Garam masala.
  • Coffee.
