Ushirasava

Ushirasava (Usheerasava) is ayurvedic medicine in liquid form, which is used to treat urinary problems, blood purification, and all types of bleeding disorders such as rectal bleeding, Menorrhagia, excessive bleeding after delivery, nose bleeding, etc. Due to its cooling nature, Ushirasava is also indicated in diseases that occur due to excessive heat inside the body. As this medicine is cold in potency it is also indicated in pregnancy in case of risk of premature delivery or miscarriage.

The ingredients present in Ushirasava are:

  • Kamal or Lotus (Flower) – Nelumbo Nucifera .

  • Children can take from 2.5 ml to 10 ml a day. It should be added with an equal amount of water twice a day, after breakfast and dinner.

Ushirasava Side Effects

Ushirasava is considered safe when taken under professional supervision and as per its recommended dosage.

  • If taken for incorrect reasons can cause a prolonged menstrual cycle or delayed cycle.
  • A higher dosage than prescribed can cause stomach irritation.
